Theatrical costuming allows June Kingsbury to combine her loves of theater, music and fashion design. She has been costuming theater productions in Nashville since 1998. In recent years, she has branched out to tailor stage outfits for recording artists such as Vince Gill, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood, and Jewel. As a theatrical costumer, she has designed shows for Nashville Shakespeare Festival, Mockingbird Theater, People's Branch Theater, Chaffin's Barn Dinner Theater, and others. She has also assisted in productions for Tennessee Repertory Theater, Nashville Children's Theater, and Nashville Ballet. Her credits include designs for numerous productions for Montgomery Bell Academy and Harpeth Hall School. From 2002 to 2007, she served as assistant designer for Vanderbilt University Theater.
June has lived in Africa and New York City, worked for a Japanese Company, and The Business Council for the United Nations. She now lives in West Nashville with her husband, son, and dog Smudge.
